Marshall was a high school teacher and coach in greater South TX. He started his career in Tivoli then coached in Port Lavaca, Cuero, Skidmore, and George West before retiring after 30 years. He loved coaching and coached football, basketball, baseball, track, tennis and cross country. Everyone that knew him knew that his true passion was football. He has been a loving husband, supportive father, doting and fun grandfather, and a faithful Christian leader within his church. He loved golfing, fishing, and putting on fish fries for his family and friends. He was a kind and gentle man who had a profound impact on family, friends, and everyone else he encountered. Marshall, 'Coach', 'Poppy'… you will be incredibly missed by those you have touched over the years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to the George West Church of Christ or a charitable organization of your choice.
