Mark Edward Calhoun, Jr., 23, of Shreveport, LA passed away December 22, 2007. He was born June 14, 1984 in Palacios, Texas to Loretta Harbison and Mark E. Calhoun, Sr.

Survivors include mother Loretta Harbison of Springfield, MA; father & step-mother Mark E. Calhoun, Sr & Iona of Blessing, TX; paternal grandmother Lilah Calhoun of Blessing; sisters Lori Anne Palmer & husband William III of Springfield, MA & Becka Wilder of Blessing; brothers Jonathan & Jeffrey Calhoun both of Blessing; nephew William Palmer IV; and uncles Bruce Calhoun of Houston, Wayne Calhoun of New York & John Beard of Houston.

The family will greet friends and relatives from 6pm-8pm Friday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Pastor Clyde Greer officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing. Pallbearers will be Chris Barnstable, Jon Barnstable, James C. Loe, Josh Collom, Jeremy Watts and Taylor Byrd. His brothers & uncle Bruce Calhoun will be honorary pallbearers.
