Obituary

Marjorie Faye Sparks Parks, 72 of Markham Texas passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2020 in Edna, Texas. Margie as she was known to all who knew and loved her was born on November 10, 1947 in Eagle Lake, Texas to the late James Wilford & Ethel Marjorie Sparks.

On December 23, 1965 Margie married her husband William Henry Parks, Sr. in San Saba, Texas.  The duo would spend the next 54 years living and loving life. Together they raised their children, grandkids, and great grandkids, not to mention the neighborhood children that would always be at their house.

Margie is preceded in death by her parents James and Ethel Sparks, her in-laws Claude and Odessa Parks, her daughter-in-law, Theresa Nemec Parks, and 2 sons, Bruce Wayne Parks, and Kenneth Lynn Parks. She left behind a huge family that will cherish her forever including her husband William Henry Parks Sr. of Markham, son William Henry Parks Jr. of Markham, daughter Phoebe Johnson and husband Craig of Markham. Grandchildren Preston Parks (Bonnie) of Bay City, Tiffany Juranek (Eric) of Ganado, Travis Parks (Monica) of Markham, Daena Beccera (Eric) of Bay City, Jasmine Johnson of Superior, WI, Sammy(Will) Green of Wadsworth, and Jonah and Camden Johnson of Markham. She leaves behind an abundance of great- grandbabies who brought her so much joy.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon, Friday, May 8, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Markham. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Howard Harper officiating. Interment will be at Hawley Cemetery following services. Pallbearers are Preston Parks, Travis Parks, Eric Juranek, Frank Kelley, Gerald Kinder, Eric Becerra, Brad Wimberley, Justin Wimberley, and Buddy Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers are Jonah Johnson, Camden Johnson, and Travis (TJ) Parks Jr.
