Obituary

Our beloved mother Marilyn "Ash" Wilson, 63, of Palacios died August 10, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX. She was born March 4, 1942 in Baytown, TX to the late Herman and Ruth Marie Burns Ash. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the First Baptist Church in Palacios, a resident of Palacios the past 2-1/2 years and a former longtime resident of Dallas.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Palacios Chamber of Commerce, Palacios Area Historical Association member; and was a Board member beginning in 2005; Athena Club member; in-coming president; Century Club Member of Friends of the Palacios Library; organized the Red Hat Ladies, a Volunteer at Palacios Community Medical Center; and was a school mentor.

Survivors include 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law: Ranelle Fowler of Dallas, TX, Eve & John Watson of Woodstock, GA, and Sarentha & Rob Kessler of Palacios; step-son: Greg Wilson of Austin & step-daughter Amy Wilson both of Austin, TX; brother: Paul Ash of Baytown, TX; and 6 grandchildren: Jake Wilson of Takoma Park, MD, Audry, Timothy, & Daisy Kessler all of Palacios, and Matthew, & Hanna Watson of Woodstock, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald E. Wilson.

Funeral Service were 11:00 AM Monday, August 15, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Palacios with Rev. Hollas Hoffman officiating. Graveside Funeral Service were 4:00 PM Monday at the Gonzales Masonic Cemetery in Gonzales, TX. Pallbearers were David Harrup, Boogie Davis, Wayne Dodd, Charles Bailey, Don Landry, Rodney Girndt, Jake Wilson, & Dale Seaman. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Palacios, TX 77465.
