Maria Celia Torres, 62, of Markham passed away February 9, 2017. She was born March 29, 1954 in Brownsville, Texas to Raul Torres and Dionicia Cruz Torres.

She was preceded in death by her father and nephew John Reyes. Survivors include her mother Dionicia Torres of Markham; sisters, Dora Martinez of Bay City, Mary Avalos of Angleton, Sandra Vargas of Bay City, Selina Suarez of Bay City, Pat Torres of Van Vleck and Diana Clark of Van Vleck and one brother Tino Torres of Markham.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5PM until 7PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Abundant Life Fellowship Church with Pastor Steve Malone officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Tino Torres Jr.,
Albert Avalos Jr., Daniel Reyes, Luis Martinez, Anthony Cruz and Jacob Puente.
