Maria "Cristina" Ramirez, went to her heavenly home on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013. Maria was born on April 18, 1938 to the late Gregorio and Manuela Montalvo Torres. She was a long time resident of Bay City. She was a member of Saint Paul's United Methodist Church. She loved to cook , especially for her family and friends. Maria loved to spend time in her garden tending to her plants. Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ysidro Ramirez, her children,; Carrie Palmer & husband Steven, Ysidro Ramirez Jr., Roger Ramirez & wife Rachel, Ruben Ramirez & wife Cindy, Arthur Ramirez, Ernest Ramirez & wife Mary, Henry Ramirez & wife Jessica, Rachel Guerra & husband Joe, Richard Ramirez & wife Christina, Cristine Martinez & husband John, Becky Pena & husband Tony; 26 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, brother, Jose Luis Torres and sister Magdalena de Gonzalez and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and son Jose Antonio "Tony" Ramirez. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, Oct 22, 2013 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Morgan officiating. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00-8:00P.M. at the funeral home.
