Maria "Tia" Oros went to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 5, 2015. She was born August 15, 1910 in Mexico to Modesto and Bartola Oros.

Maria was a loving God-fearing woman and felt blessed to live to be 104 years old. She enjoyed cooking and tending to the flowers in her garden. Maria was like a mother and grandmother to her nieces, great-nieces and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Maria is survived by her sister Anita Oros; brother Juan Oros, Sr.; special nieces, Esther Cantu, Inez Ochoa, Viola Rivera, Olga Mata, Amelia Garza, Belia Avila, Minerva Gutierrez, Gracie Martinez, Joann Garza and numerous other great-nieces & nephews and great-great-nieces & nephews. Maria is preceded in death by parents; sisters Felicitas Oros and Petra Ortiz; brothers Jessie Oros, Candelario Oros, Santiago Oros, Sebastian Oros.

The family will receive visitors from 2pm-8pm Wednesday, April 8 with a 6:30pm rosary at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerry Cernoch celebrant. Rite of committal to follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ezekiel Garza, Jr., Adam Oros, Arnulfo " Cookie" Arriaga, Jr., Robert Rivera, Jr., Jessie Oros, Roy Gutierrez, Ronald Rivera and Daniel Zepeda.
