Maria Gena Verde Padron Ordonez was called by the lord February 16th, 2016, at Columbia-St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon at the age of 63. She was born July 19th, 1952, in Tortugas San Louis Potosi Mexico to Leonardo and Maria Bernabe (Verde) Padron.
At the age of 12 she moved to the U.S. to live with her grandmother in Brownsville, Texas. She lived there many years and at the age of 20 years old she met Guadalupe Ordonez, they eventually got married in 1977. Maria and Guadalupe traveled and resided in many states until 1980, they decided to settle in the state of Texas where many of her own brothers and sisters resided. They lived in a small town of Collegeport were they raised their 8 children and her 2 other sons from her previous relationship. In 1995 they moved their family to Wisconsin. Maria was always outgoing, kind, and generous to everyone.
Maria was a hard working woman, she loved to plant flowers, enjoyed cooking, loved her grandchildren and enjoying time with her extended family. She was employed at Wigwam Mills for 15 years, a job she enjoyed and loved. She will be extremely missed by many family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Guadalupe Ordonez Sr.; her parents, Leonandro and Maria Padron; brothers, Dionicio Padron, Nereo Padron, Isaias Padron; sisters, Gloria Bolfing, Enedelia Lopez; sons, Juan Carlos Padron, Elias Padron, Guadalupe Jr, Eduardo, Jaime, Mario, Cain, Rene; her daughters, Evangelina and Karina; grandchildren, Lisa Marie, Alyssa, Eliza, Amaris, Madalynn, Maria, Angel, Annabella, Azalea, Iris, Violet, Ivy, Alina, Annalisa, Ariella, Izaak, Emmaus, Amiliano, Julian, Armando, Samuel, Dominque and Elias Jr.
Maria was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Juan Padron and Viviana (Elias) Castro, maternal grandparents, Cirilo Verde and Virginia Suarez, her brother, Misael Padron and a grandson, Xavier Ordonez.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Palacios with Father Bryan Heyer celebrant. The Holy Rosary will be at 9:30 at the church before the mass. Rite of committal to follow at the Palacios Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Palacios Funeral Home. Local arrangements are with the Palacios Funeral Home.
