Maria P. Mendieta of Bay City passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017. Maria was born on January 26, 1926 in Mexico to the late Tomas and Mariana Sanchez Cazares.

Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She loved being around her family. Maria was an avid bingo player, and was a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, husband Tomas, son Thomas Jr., grandson Thomas lll, daughter-in-law Patricia. She is survived by her children, Delia Yanez (Lupe), Margaret Ochoa (Martin), Sylvia Aguilar (Paul), Frances Mendieta, Dora White Mann(Carl), Jesse Mendieta, Debora Bueno (Demencio, Jr.), 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, September 18, 2017 from 3:00-8:00P.M. at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. The Holy Rosary will be 6:30P.M. that evening. Services and interment will follow in San Benito, TX under the care of San Benito Funeral Home-956-361-9192.
