Maria C. Medina, 83, of Bay City, passed away Oct. 3, 2015. She was born September 12, 1932 in Brownsville, Texas to the late Juan Casares and Beatrice C. Mata and raised by Francisco Pancho and Beatrice.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 42 years Antonio Medina; daughter Rosie Ann Medina; son Juan Antonio Medina and brother Raymond Mata. She is survived by children Mary G. Medina of Port Lavaca, Lydia Medina , Molly (Salvador) Luna, Virginia (Tamos) Morales of Bay City, Fred (Gregoria) Medina of Clute, Herman(Vickie) Medina of Indiana, Roy (Nena) Medina, and Gilbert Medina of Bay City; sister Irene (Victor) Ramirez, brother Joe (Berta) Mata both of Scott, LA and brother Ricky (Jennifer) Mata of Victoria; 39 grandchildren, 84+ great-grandchildren and 19+ great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all the family and friends for their care and support of Maria. After all, we are the hands and feet of Our Lord; it is our duty to pass on the love and compassion to our brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Tuesday October 6, 2015 from 3:00-8:00p.m., with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00P.M., at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City with Monsignor Gerry Cernoch celebrant. Rite of committal to follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers are Conrad Medina, Rod Medina, Mark Medina, Robert Lee Medina, Victor Barrera and Mario Luna. Honorary pallbearers are Steven Garcia and Anthony Morales.
