Maria G. Garcia, 72, of Markham, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2006 in Bay City. She was born February 12, 1934 in Falfurrias, TX to Jose Maria V. Garcia and Maria Gutierrez Garcia. She was a resident of Markham since 1967.

She is survived by her Daughters & Sons-in-law: Matiana G. & Edwardo Perez of Markham, Anna Maria G. & Abraham Hernandez of Austin, Noemi G. & Donnie West of El Maton and Lorenza G. & Terry Brewer of El Maton; by her Sons & Daughters-in-law: Julian & Irma Garcia of Markham, Martin G. & Toni Jo Garcia of Bay City, Pedro & Patricia Garcia, III of Markham and David & Vicki Garcia of Markham; by her Sisters: Manuela Gonzales, Rosa Longoria and Petra Sanchez of Falfurrias and Antonia Villarreal of Houston; by her Brothers: Bernardo Garcia, Leopoldo Garcia and Jose M. Garcia, all of Falfurrias; and by 20 Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Jose Maria V. Garcia and Maria G. Garcia; by her sister: Marcella Gonzales; and by her brother: Pedro Garcia.

A Prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, June 19, 2006 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Chapel with Bro. Saul Garcia officiating. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at the Church of Christ on Nichols St. in Bay City with Bro. Joe Wrape officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers will be Mario Rodriguez, Elizandro Perez, Armando Perez, David Perez, Daniel Perez and Martin E. Garcia. Honorary pallbearers include Marcus Rodriguez, Frank Brewer and Abraham Hernandez, Jr.
