Obituary

Marguerite Hearn Marsh was born April 30, 1925, Bruceville, Texas to Henry & Mattie Lula Koepf. At the age of 91 she left her earthly home on January 25, 2017, surrounded by her family. She graduated from Bruceville-Eddy High School in 1942 at the age of seventeen. She married A.W. Hearn on February 25, 1946, and began their 31-year marriage, bringing four children into this world. Moving to Bay City in 1950, they started Hearn Brother's Motor Company with A.W.'s brother Lewis Pete Hearn, Bay City's first & last Studebaker car dealership, currently the home of Cole Plumbing. In 1990 Marguerite retired from First National Bank of Bay City as it's Senior Investment Officer, after which she moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, retuning to Bay City in 2002. Marguerite loved sacred and classical music and was the pianist and a soloist at Calvary Baptist Church for many years. She was also a Charter Member of the Bay City Pilot Club in the 1950's.

She was preceded in death by her husband A.W. Hearn, both parents, and all six of her brothers. She is survived by her children, Allen W. Hearn & wife Carol of Mulberry, Florida, Norma Hearn Douget of Bay City, James D. Hearn of Sinton, Texas, and Robert L. Hearn & wife Maggie of Palacios, Texas. Marguerite was blessed with nine grandchildren and lived to welcome 11 great grandchildren into this world along with 1 great, great grandson and great, great granddaughter on the way. She is also survived by Orville H. Marsh of Corpus Christi, Texas. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive visitors at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home on Friday, January 27 from 9:00am to Noon, and Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 1:00-2:00pm followed by a graveside service and interment at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck with Rev. Chester Sassman officiating. Pallbearers are grandsons Bryan Douget, Sean Douget, Seth Hearn, and great grandsons Dylan Douget, Colby Douget and Chance Wilson.

Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the charity of your choice.
