Margie Katherine Stroud, 85, of Bay City passed away July 18, 2009. She was born Sept. 25, 1923 in Rice, Texas. She was a member of Golden Ave. Baptist Church, worked as a cook at the Bay City High School Cafeteria for 19 years, and was a former employee of Perry's Variety Store.

Her birth parents James Matthews Stroud & Charlotte "Lottie" Stroud Falks, sisters Marie Pesak & Estella Nissen and brothers Radie Stroud & Donald Falks all preceded her in death. She lived 72 years of her life in the home of Arley "Sweet Pea" & Jessie Williams

She is survived by sisters Iola Rorex of Blessing, Doris Wilks of Bay City, Dolores Harvey of Lake Jackson, Gayle Orsag of Alvin, brothers Ollie Falks of Angleton & Edward Falks of Danbury and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was first cousin and "Big Sister" to Jimmy Williams, Freddie Williams, & Paul Williams all of Bay City, Hazel Taylor of Fort Worth and Patricia Williams of Lessburg, TX.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6pm to 8pm Sunday, July 26, 2009 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, July 27, 2009 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Tony James officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Don Falks, Steve Wilks, Mike Wilks, Keith Falks, Preston Williams, Wes Young, Bart Young and Brent Taylor.
