Margie Nell Hardwick, 78, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Cornerstone Healthcare Center in Webster, Texas. Margie was born on October 7, 1931 in Hayworth, Oklahoma to Charlie and Clairsie Cox Gurley. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, D.L. Hardwick and a son, Dicky Hardwick. She is survived by sons, Gene and Sharon Hardwick of Sweeny and Gary Hardwick of Bridge City, Texas and by her daughters, Lynn and Jerry Byram and Rene Hardwick, both of Texas City. She is also survived by a brother, Buster Gurley of Hayworth, Oklahoma and siters, Kathleen Lawler of Hayworth, Oklahoma and Betty Akard of Hot Springs, Arkansas as well as 7 grand children and 11 great grand children. A visitation will be held on Thursday at Bay City Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 19, at 11:00 AM at the Matagorda Cemetery in Matagorda, Texas. Her grandsons, Michael, Darryl, Jody and Chad Hardwick and Jerry Lyn Byram will serve as pallbearers. Services are under the direction of Bay City Funeral Home.
