Margarita Amezquita-Flores 74, of  Bay City, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 in Sugar Land. She was born November 24, 1946 in Ojo de Agua, Guanajuato to Angel Flores and Juana Rosas.

She loved to garden, cook, sew, embroider, view spanish soap operas, and spend time with her family.

Margarita is preceded in death by her parents Juana Rosas and Angel Flores; son Nicolas Amezquita; sister Maria Guadalupe Flores, and nephew Felipe Morales. She is survived by her loving husband Jose Amezquita; children,  Rosa Elena Amezquita, Maria del Carmen Amezquita, Maria de la Luz Amezquita, Maria Elena Amezquita, Maria de Jesus Amezquita, Ester Amezquita, Miguel Amezquita, Antonio Amezquita, Hector Amezquita,; 34 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation at 9:00am Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rosary being recited at 9:30am. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:00am with Father Gabriel Espinosa officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers are Antonio Amezquita, Miguel Amezquita, Hector Amezquita, Eugenio Olvera, Octavio Gonzalez, Alejandro Colin, Samuel Rodriguez, and Jesus Olvera Amezquita.
