Our precious wife and mother Margaret Kay Sandlin age 75 went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2021.

Margaret is loved and will be greatly missed by many. She touched many lives through her work and family life. She married the love of her life in Alamo, TN in 1963 and spent 57 years with him raising her daughters, traveling, hiking, gardening, and playing with her dogs and cats. She loved being a mom and a grandmother and her daughters considered her one of their best friends. She hugged trees and loved the silvery sound the wind makes in their leaves. She adored butterflies and birds - painted buntings, cardinals, curlews. She worked tirelessly at a career she loved - from training astronauts with NASA, engineering a major TV station in Houston to building KMKS-FM radio station over the last 37 years. She was a builder, whether it was building a life, or a business. She loved the Lord.

Margaret is survived by her husband Larry Sandlin of Bay City, TX and daughters Virginia and husband Randal Kauffman of Tomball, TX and Darline Sandlin and husband Martin Barber of Seabrook, TX, her brother and sister-in-law Donald and Debbie Lockard of Tennessee, and numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews she much loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oren Buster and Iva Mildred Lockard, her children Rebecca Sandlin, Pamela Johnson and Teresa Sandlin, and three brothers, Charles Lockard, Bobby Joe Lockard and Thurman Lockard; and two sisters, Francis Farrell and Helen Legions.

However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" — the things God has prepared for those who love him— 1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV 'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21:4 NIV

"Our dearest Mom, we love you so much. You will always be in our thoughts and hearts."

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM.  She will be laid to rest with other family at Alamo City Cemetery in Alamo, Tennessee .
