Margaret "Mickie" Falks, went to join her one true love, husband Donald and family members on April 26, 2014. Mickie was born on Feb. 11, 1938 in Tucson, Arizona to the late Avis and Vivian Pendergrass Elkins. Mickie was an avid camper. Mickie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Mickie was an avid reader who loved her dog Charlie. Law enforcement was a big part of her life, her husband was a retired Houston Police Officer who also worked as a Deputy with the Matagorda County Sheriff's Office, her daughter Karen is a Lieutenant with the San Antonio Police Department, her son Don is a Detective Sergeant with the Wharton Police Department, her daughter Robin Deal is a Registered Nurse and numerous other family members in law enforcement.

Mickie is survived by her loving family, Son, Don Falks & wife Pamela, daughter Robin Deal & husband Michael, daughter Karen Falks and Partner Patrice Falks; grandchildren, Charlotte Falks, Aaron Falks, William Nettle Jr., Cody Nettle, Sarah Clegg, Addison Falks-Camacho; great grandchildren, Camden Long, Kayden Long, Kensley Long, Aden Falks, Finnley Falks, Brooklynn Nettle, Ansley Nettle; sister, Anne Topping, brother, James Elkins and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, brother Thomas Allen Elkins.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, May 2, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Bay City with the Rev. Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be William Nettle Jr., Cody Nettle, Aaron Falks, Keith Falks, Chris Orsag, Dewayne Falks.
