Margaret Sue Burge, 77, of Matagorda, Texas passed away peacefully on May 17, 2024.  She was born in Freeport, Texas on October 11, 1946, to John "Sam" Wesley Annis and Minnie Clara Yeamans-Annis.

The family moved to Matagorda, where she and her loving sister, the late Emma Elizabeth Watkins would spend many days at the beach, gathering seashells and sea glass. She attended Christ Episcopal Church in Matagorda for many years, which she loved dearly.  She loved growing up in Matagorda, being outside.   Crabbing and fishing were her favorite things to do.

She is survived by her daughters, Jacquelyn H. Rawlings and Jean Elizabeth Webb (Buddy); her grandsons Payton C. Arsola, Zachary K. Rawlings and Preston S. Rawlings, her granddaughter Jaylee C. Wilburn and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
