Marcelle Anne Odom, 90, passed away on Tuesday July 28, 2015. She was born September 29, 1924 in Wadsworth, TX to Fred E. and Blanche Pentecost Ryman.

Marcelle married the late Robbins P. Odom on October 11, 1945. She and her husband were very active members of the First Baptist Church of Bay City. She loved going to church and teaching.

Marcelle is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and children Barbara Norton, Robbin Odom and Glenn "Skipper": Odom. She is survived by sister Marjorie Hough; daughter-in-law Betty Odom; granddaughters Jennifer Willard (Jeff), Charlotte Allgaier (Michael) and Rebecca Brown (Dustin); grandsons Chris Norton (Kimmy) and Daniel Norton (Mary); great grandchildren Cody Allgaier, Carrie Allgaier, Mikaela Norton, Chaz Norton, Hannah Norton, Marcy Norton, Kaitlyn Brown, Robyn Brown and Tanner Brown.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers that were with her through her process, Bambi Cheek, Iris Diaz, Serena Henderson, Angelique Johnson and Patricia Tippett. Also, to her wonderful hospice nurses Marie and Josslyn, thank you.

The family will receive visitors beginning at 1:00pm Friday, July 31, 2015 at the funeral home. Services will follow visitation at 3:00pm at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers are Scott Cheek, Daniel Norton, Chris Norton, Billy Mann, Bob King and John McMillian.
