Marcella Castillo, 85, of Bay City, passed away October 1, 2018. She was born January 11, 1933 in Kendleton, TX to Jose and Apolonia Gamez Villanueva.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; husband Filemon Castillo; sons Christopher and Leo Castillo, and great-grandson Zachry Slotman. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Smethers and husband Ron; daughter-in-law Pam Castillo; sister Antonia Charles of Jacinto City, TX; grandchildren Christi Herrera (Junior), Michael Castillo (Sandra), Jeffrey Castillo (Melissa), and Ashleigh Mulford (Dylan); great-grandchildren Rachel Castillo, Christopher Castillo, Beaux Castillo, Drake Hays and Hunter Hays.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5:00-7:00pm Wednesday, October 3 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. The Rosary will be 6:00pm that evening. Services will be 10:00am Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers are Michael Castillo, Jeffrey Castillo, Dylan Mulford, Lino Ramirez, Alfred Moya and Benny Garza. Honorary pallbearers are Junior Herrera and Ron Smethers.
