Marcel Ernest Poirrier, Jr., 82, of Bay City passed away August 2, 2024.  He was born July 2, 1942 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Marcel Ernest Poirrier, Sr. and Susie Anne Beazley Poirrier.

Marcel was an extremely proud Marine. He worked many years in sales. First for Clairol then selling pipes, valves and fittings at several companies in Corpus Christi and in Houston.

His hobby was people.  He didn't know a stranger. He was a devoted husband and father. And very active in the church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ellie Mae Poirrier and his brother Marcel Henry Poirrier.

Survivors include daughter Michelle Ellen Poirrier (Terry Myren); sons Marcel E. Poirrier III and Micah Poirrier (Sabrina); sister Anne Marie Duncan (Bill); grandson Marcel E. "Marcus" Poirrier IV (Heather) and great grandchildren Zooey Poirrier and Oliver Poirrier.

The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the First Methodist Church of Bay City.  The Celebration of His Life will begin at 11:00 AM.
