Manuel Mejias, 87, of Bay City, passed away August 9, 2018. He was born February 7, 1931 in Hocheim, Texas to Isa Mejias and Victoria Moreno Mejias.

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents; first wife Susana Perez Mejias, and second wife Maria Mejias. He is survived by wife Gloria Resendez Mejias; daughters Diana Mejias of Friendswood, Doris Munguia (Eddie) of Rosenberg, and Sandra Mejias Barrera of Baytown; sons Ray Guerra, Sr. of Bay City, Manuel Stephen Mejias, Jr. of Cleburn, Norman Lee Mejias, Sr. (Arcilia) of Bay City, Freddie Mejias (Jolene) of Bay City, Victor Isaac Mejias (Maria R. Mejias) of Zapata and Joel Christopher Mejias (Jennifer) of Bay City; brother Pedro Trevino of Victoria; 31 grandchildren, 62 great-granchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5:00-7:00pm, with a 6:30pm Rosary, Thursday August 16 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00am Friday August 17, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers are Ray Guerra, David Garza, Erik Solis, Chris Mejias, David Mejias, Richard Ochoa, Manuel Ortiz, Isaac Barrera, Dylan Guerra, Norman Mejias, Jr. Johnny Mejias and Michael Barrera.
