Magdaleno Juarez "Bugs" Rico III, 44, of League City passed away May 22, 2008. He was born September 24, 1963 in Bay City, Texas to Magdaleno J. Rico, Jr. and Betty Jane Vega Rico. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in League City, worked for Celanese Chemical Co. for 20 years, and held a Black Belt in Karate.

His father preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Melissa D. Rico of League City; mother & step-father Betty Jane Rico-Greer & Will of Bay City; daughters Alyssa C. Rico & Camryn R. Rico both of League City; son Michael J. Rico of League City; sisters Driana Rodriguez & husband Daniel of Bay City, Delores Dalvand of Dallas and Eva Carhart & husband Mike of Bay City; and brother Orlando Rico & wife Sonja of Wharton.

A rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Mass will be 2:30 PM Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck, TX. Pallbearers will be Phillip Sardelich, Rico Carlin, Daniel Rodriguez III, Robert Basquez, Doug Phillips & Ricky Zarate. Carol Buffaloe, Maria Bernal, Joe Espericueta, Mike Collins and Marcus Rubio will serve as honorary pallbearers.
