Magdalena P. Longoria, 88, of Bay City went to her eternal rest on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012. Magdalena was born on October 10, 1924 in Norheim, Texas to the late Pedro and Pauline Aguirre Pena. Magdalena liked to play bingo at the Eagle's Hall and the nursing home. Magdalena loved to embroider. Magdalena loved to cook for her family. Magdalena was a faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was a devoted Astros fan.

She is survived by her loving family, children, Helen Martinez & husband David, Susan Longoria, Jesse Longoria & wife Phyllis, Irene Mireles & husband Joe, Pedro "Pete" Longoria & wife Odie; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members. Her parents, husband Jesus Longoria, Jr. and 5 sisters precede her in death.

The recitation of the Holy Rosary was held 6:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home. The Rite of Christian Burial was held 2:00 PM Friday, December 7, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Monsignor Gerry Cernoch celebrant. The Rite of Committal followed at Cedarvale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Richard Morales Jr., Leonard Hernandez, Darrell Carrillo, Chris Hajducek, Lee McGriggs Jr., and Kyle Carrillo; honorary pallbearers were Jesus Longoria lV, Robert Romero, David Martinez Jr., and William Smith Jr.
