Obituary
Mae Bump Powell Coffman, 95, longtime resident of Blessing passed away December 26, 2011 in Spring, Texas.
She was born May 26, 1916 to Charles and Mary Alice Jones Bump. She was preceded in death by her husband Dick Powell, daughter Frances Powell Witham and her second husband H. D. Coffman.
Mae was a retired social worker for the poor and elderly of Matagorda County. She was active in St. John's Episcopal Church in Palacios and the Hawley Cemetery Board for many years.
Mae is survived by her grandson Walter Witham & wife Michelle of Spring; great grandson William Witham of Spring, TX; in-law family Bill & Sharon Isereau of Lake Jackson and special caregiver Lucille Serrano of Spring.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to St. John's Episcopal Church.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm to 7pm Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 30, 2011 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with interment following at Hawley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marty Crain, Gary Joines, Tyler Curtner, Cliff Curtner, Clarence Piwonka and Ronald Kirby.
