Lynda Lee Pruitt, 73, passed away June 1, 2020 at her home in Wadsworth. She was born February 22, 1947 to the late Cora Martin and Wesley Frederick Darby.

Lynda was known for her hard work and dedication. She was an Engineering Assistant with STP for many years, and even developed many of the forms that STP still uses today. It has been said that if it had wheels, she could drive it! She drove a school bus for the Palacios School District, and even drove a dump truck for construction companies. She could drive a dump truck a mile, backwards.

Aside from her dedication to work, she had a strong dedication to her family and shared a loving marriage with her husband, Mike. She will be missed by many.

Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Frederick Darby and Cora Ozella Martin; daughter, Bobbie Denise Barker. She is survived by her husband of 30 years Michael Pruitt; sons, Altus Keith Barker, and James Alvis Barker, daughter, Carissa Dee Pruitt; brothers, Scott Darby, Wesley Darby, and Mike Darby; sister, Cynthia Darby; and grandchildren, Logan Michael Barker, and Cora Drew Barker.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Saturday, June 6, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Bay City, Texas with Mike Zimmerman officiating. Visitation will beginning at 1:00pm. Interment will be Sunday, June 7 at Snow Hill Cemetery in Cason, Texas.

Pallbearers for Lynda will be Altus Keith Barker, James Alvis Barker, Logan Michael Barker, Bradley Rodriguez, Scott Darby, and Mike Darby.
