Lydia Medina, 59, of Bay City, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023. She was born November 27, 1963 in Bay City, to the late Antonio and Maria Casares Medina.

Lydia was a die-hard Cowboys fan and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed listening to Tejano music and would often sit outside on the porch drinking her coffee. She enjoyed having lunch with friends and family. She taught CCD at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Medina and Maria Casares; brothers, Juan Antonio Medina, and Gilbert Medina; sisters, Rosie Medina, and Virginia Morales. She is survived by her son, Victor Barrera (Genesis); siblings, Modesta Luna, Mary Lupe Medina, Fred Medina, Roy Medina, and Herman Medina; grandsons, Gabriel, Noah, and Lucas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Family will receive friends and relatives for visitation at 9:00am Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Holy Rosary at 9:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00am with Father Gabriel Espinosa officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers for Ms. Medina will be Victor Barrera, Brandon Medina, Rod Medina III, Mario Luna, Carlos Aranda, Salvador Luna, Anthony Segueda, and Mar'Kale Medina.
