Lusty
Crain
February 26, 1939 – May 5, 2026
Wallace Creek Cemetery
Starts at 2:00 pm (Central time)
Lusty Crain lived a life deeply rooted in love for his family, for the simple joys of life, and for the stories that brought laughter and connection to those around him. He cherished every moment spent with the people he enjoyed and considered his family as his greatest blessing. He also held a special fondness for Blue Lacy dogs, admiring their loyalty, strength, and steadfast spirit. Whether he was sharing treasured memories, telling tales that drew smiles from everyone in the room, or passing along wisdom in his own unforgettable way, Lusty had a remarkable gift for storytelling. He will be remembered for his warm heart and the love he gave so freely.
Lusty was born on February 26, 1939, in San Saba, Texas, and was the ninth child of the late John Allen and Dennie Lee (Lusty) Crain. He left this life on May 5, 2026, at the age of 87.
He was welcomed into eternal rest by his Heavenly Father; his infant daughter, Jeannie Lynn Crain; his brothers, Joe, Jessie, Jerry, Stoney, Wiley, and Wilbern; and his sisters, Johnnie Lois Cagle and Jerline Davis.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Clara (Wood) Crain; his son, Darrell Lee Crain (B.J.); his daughter, Donna Gayle Nedbalek; and six grandchildren, whom he dearly loved: Paula, Dara (Ryan), Laura, Brad (Stephen), Erin (Travis), and Kristen (Ryan). He is also survived by four beautiful great-granddaughters, Eva, Nina, Margot, and Juno Clara; two brothers, Franklin and Randle; and two sisters, Cora Nelle Hedrick and Darlene Boultinghouse.
A celebration of Lusty’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Wallace Creek Cemetery in San Saba, Texas, where he will be laid to rest beside his precious daughter, Jeannie Lynn.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
