Lupe Yanez, Sr., 78, of Bay City passed away February 20, 2007. He was born January 21, 1929 in Bay City to the late Felix M. Yanez, Sr. and Marcela Hernandez Yanez.

Survivors include his wife, Eloisa Losoya Yanez of Bay City; daughters, Anna Yanez of Bay City, Irene Escobar & husband Wally of Bay City & Paula Sedillo & husband Daniel of Freeport; sons & daughters-in-law Lupe H. Yanez, Jr. & Delia of Alvin, Mack L. Yanez & Margaret of Danbury, Charles Yanez & Rachel of Bay City, & Ernest Yanez & Donna of Bay City; sister Mamie Barrera of Bay City; brothers Felix Yanez, Jr. of Angleton & Ramon Yanez of Houston; thirty grandchildren and thirty six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter Lucille Y. Rubio; sons Robert M. & Patrick Yanez; granddaughter Lisa Yanez; sisters Prudencio Yanez & Rosa Y. Figueroa and brother Ynosente Yanez.

A rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM Wed. at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home. Mass is 2:00 PM Thurs. February 22, 2007 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers include Mack Yanez, Jr., Wesley Escobay, Wally Escobar, Jr., Keith Yanez, Rogbert Yanez and Jimmy Montalvo, Jr. Manuel Figueroa, Jr. will be honorary pallbearer.
