Lupe Rivera Servantes was born April 25, 1925 in Victoria, TX. She lived in Port Lavaca and passed away September 4, 2010 in Bay City, TX at the age of 85. She was born to the late Maria Silvas and Matias Rivera.

She is survived by daughters Mary (Jose) Solis of Bay City, Janie (Alejos) Gonzalez of Bay City, JoAnn (Vicoriano) Echartea of Bay City, Delia Trevino of Pt. Lavaca, Betty (John) Garcia of Pt. Lavaca & Ruby (Ignacio) Cantu of Pt. Lavaca; son Cecil (Tara) Munoz of Pt. Lavaca; 29 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Her husband Secario Servantes, son Guadalupe Servantes, granddaughter Alexis Munoz & Grandson Ruben De La Garza, Jr. all preceded her in death as well as son-in-law Artemio Trevino; sisters Consuelo Munoz, Lydia Ortiz, Micaela "Mickey" Torres; brothers Humberto Rivera, Pablo Rivera, Alfredo Rivera & Manuel Rivera.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Mass will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Port Lavaca Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Cantu, Noel Lozano, Joe Villareal, Chris Cuellar, Jonathan Cuellar, Danny Servantes, Eddie Rodriguez and Eric Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Gabriel Servantes, Chris Hernandez, Ruben De La Garza, Johnny Ray Camacho and Terrance Garcia.
