Ludvik Martin Manna, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away at the age of 95 on July 19, 2013. He was born February 22, 1918 in Sealy, Texas to the late Martin Manna and Anna Liska Manna. He was the youngest of 7 children. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Myrtle and brothers and sisters Joe Manna, Frank, Manna, Arnold Manna, Annie Vancik, Hilda Schulke and Emily Olbrych.
Ludvik met and married the love of his life, Myrtle Mary Burke in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Humble, Texas on August 1, 1941. They settled in Bay City, Texas on Bucks Bayou Road in a house he built for them on his days off. Ludvik and Myrtle spent the next 68+ years raising their family and enjoying their life together. After his retirement from DOW Chemical in 1980, Ludvik and Myrtle loved to travel, tend their garden, play dominoes and enjoy Polka Music. They were member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Ludvik is survived by his son Richard Manna & wife Kay of Helotes, Texas; daughter Sydonia Winters of Bay City, Texas; granddaughters Stacy Winters of Sealy, Texas and Constance Cunningham of Bay City, Texas; great granddaughter Brittainy Helton of Bay City, Texas; great grandsons Brandon and Brian Gavranovic of Bay City, Texas.
A rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM Monday, July 22, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Funeral mass will follow at 10:00 AM with Rev. Greg Korenek officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City.
