The Heavenly Gates opened to welcome Lucille Guzman Kopecky, 82, of Bay City on July 28, 2022.  She was born to Frederico and Mary Lucille Guzman, Sr.

Everyone knew of Lucille being so kind-hearted that she would gladly give you a hot meal or the last few dollars in her purse.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Tony, Fred and Danny Guzman.

Lucille is survived by her companion Jose Mejia and four children Diana K. Claybourn (Mike), Adam Kopecky (Tara), Crystal K. Rodriguez (Daniel) and David Kopecky.  She also leaves 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren on the way.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Nichols Street Church of Christ; 1200 Nichols St.; Bay City, TX 77414.  Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

The family has asked that everyone please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
