Lucille Robles Guzman, 88, of Bay City passed away Tuesday May 15, 2007 at her home. She was born February 5, 1919 in Splendora, TX to the late Matias Robles and Natalia Gonzales Robles. Mrs. Guzman was a life long resident of Bay City, and a faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughters: Lydia Pena of Port Lavaca, Lucille Kopecky and Hope Barrera, both of Bay City; by her sons: Fred Guzman, Jr. of Brenham, Danny Rodriguez of Harlingen, Joe Guzman and Ricardo Guzman, both of Bay City; and by 23 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Guzman was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Fredrico Guzman; son: Antonio Guzman; and by seven brothers & sisters.

A Rosary will be recited 7:30 PM Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Friday, May 18, 2007 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Daniel Rivera, Jr., Jesse Barrera, Jr., Eddie Guzman, Adam Kopecky, Henry Pena and David Kopecky. Honorary pallbearers are Manuel Pena, Dennis Pena and Steve Guzman.
