Louise Gale Runnells died January 22, 2008. She was born July 5, 1928, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Burton L. Gale, Jr. of Buffalo, New York. She was married to John Sumner Runnells II of Bay City, TX for 51 years. She attended Buffalo Seminary and graduated from Smith College class of 1950. Mrs. Runnells was a member of the Woman's Board of The Art Institute of Chicago, Children's Memorial Hospital of Chicago, Allendale School for Boys and the Lake Forest Garden Club. In addition to her husband she is survived by children Gale Pierce Runnells of Chicago, IL; Mary Runnells & her husband Christopher Glanz of Palm Coast, FL and John Sumner Runnells III & his wife Jennifer Thompson Runnells of Bay City, TX; two granddaughters Hunter Elizabeth Runnells & Chandler Claire Runnells & two step-grandsons Christopher & Jason Glanz. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 25, 2008 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Bay City, TX with Rev. Susan Kennard officiating.
