Louise Blackerby, 81, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 5, 2010 in Bay City. She was born on December 29, 1928 in Spur, Texas to the late Mike and Juanita Johnson Wade. She was a member of the Bay City Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Rebeccas. She is survived by her sister, Tennie Gatto & her husband Sal of Spring, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews, and special uncle Alford Johnson of Carlsbad, New Mexico. Preceded in death by her son, Alton Blackerby, Jr.; brother, Bobby Wade; Sisters, Murlene McKay, and Jackie Sharp. Visitation was Sunday, from 6-8P.M. at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. The funeral service was 2:00P.M. Monday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Zimmerrman and Chaplain Don Storey officiating. Burial to follow at Hawley Cemetery under the auspices of the Eastern Star. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Houston Hospice, 1905 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030.
