Louis Rangel, 92, of Bay City passed away February 5, 2012. He was born June 20, 1919 in West Columbia, TX to the late Francisco Rangel and Clementa De Santerio Rangel. He worked for Dow for many years.

His wife Romana Rangel, three sisters and one brother all preceded him in death. Survivors include daughter Teresa Rangel of Bay City; sons David Rangel of Bay City, Robert Rangel & wife Irene of Bay City and Louis J. Rangel & wife Delphina of Lake Jackson; sister Margaret Barefield of Port Lavaca; brother Ray Rangel of Bay City; grandchildren Tammy Rangel, Jennifer Ailstock, Jerilyn Rhodes, John Salinas, Melisa Maldonado, Robert Rangel, Jr. Mellisa Rangel, David Rangel, Jr. & Erica Rangel; great grandchildren Sir Xaylan Thach, Karisma Tuy Thach, Sophia Rangel, Chloe Thach, Jordan, Justin & Jasper Rangel, Journey & Jayden Ailstock, Robert III & Tori Cheynne Rangel, Giannie & Kaylee Rangel, John Michael & John Christopher Salinas, Brittaney, Kayla, and Richard Allen Rhodes, Marcus Rodriguez, Eilza & Maria Ordones, Damien Rangel, Ethan Maldonado, Donavan & Reylinn Rangel, Riley Zapata & Arissa Garcia.

A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Wednesday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. The mass will be 10:00 AM Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.
