Louis Dexter, "Toby" Mathis, 76, of Liberty Hill, Texas, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Georgetown Regional Medical Center. Toby was born on October 12, 1936 in Wharton, Texas to parents, Wilford and Bertha Dial Mathis. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Ann Spurgers of Liberty Hill, Texas and Sharon Marie Mathis of Edna, Texas, a sister, Jurilene Murphree of Georgia and 5 grand children and 11 great grandchildren. His parents and two brothers, Buford and Mike Mathis, preceded him in death. As per his wishes, there will not be a visitation and he will have a graveside service at the Matagorda Cemetery in Matagorda, Texas on Monday, December 3, at 2:00 PM with Bro. Brent New officiating. Services are under the direction of Bay City Funeral Home.
