Louis "Wito" Martino , went to be with Jesus on Thursday, August 19, 2021. He was born on September 23, 1946 to Luis and Elvira Hernandez Martino, the youngest of 3 children.  His sisters were Gloria Serna and Lupe Schulze.

On January 12, 1968, he married his high school sweetheart Stella Flores. They were married for 53 years. They have 3 children Louis Anthony Martino (Kristi), Selina Garcia (Kenneth) and Nina Bedell (Jeremy). His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy. Grandchildren are Brittany (Danny) & Beth Martino, Ken (Hannah) & Victoria Garcia, Stella, Mila & Lincoln Bedell. Great grandchildren are Ellie & Jackie Iafrato, Rowan Hinojosa and Henley Garcia.

Louis graduated from Palacios High School, worked for Arl Hunt during his school years then Hamlin's Minimax as a butcher and later was hired by John Toellner to work for Texas Eastern. He loved to fish and oyster with Uncle John and had many fishing buddies. He received Jesus as his Savior, was born again and attended Living Word Church every time the doors were open. His Pastor was his brother-in-law. He loved all of his family & friends dearly.

A celebration of life will be 7:00 PM Friday, August 27, 2021 at Living Word Church. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Living Word Church. Interment will follow at Palacios Cemetery. Masks will be required for both occasions.

Pallbearers will be Deewayne Carley, Troy Shimek, Julius Aguilar, Pete Morales, Mike Weihelman and Raul Cruz. Honorary pallbearers will be Pastor Tony Flores, Pastor Bobby Garcia, Abelardo Flores, Thomas Flores, Ben Llanes, Jasper Garcia and Bryan Thompson.

Floral arrangements may be delivered to Taylor Bros. Funeral Home; 2313 Ave I; Bay City, TX 77414 before 5:00 PM Friday.
