Lorna Mae Boots, 74, of Bay City, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in Sugar Land. She was born June 7, 1936 in Lisbon, NY to the late Royal H. and Ruby Baker Martin. She has been a resident of Matagorda County since 1980 and was a Certified Nursing Aid with Bay Villa Healthcare Center, until her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter: Vicky Schafer and husband Ben of Bay City; by her sons: Kevin E. Boots and Dennis M. Boots, both of Indianapolis, IN; her sisters: Elsie Derouchie of Ogdensburg, NY and Mary Middlemiss of Lisbon, NY; her brothers: Bill, Lester, and Bob Martin, all of Lisbon, NY; and by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; by husband: Earl E. Boots; by sons: Jeffrey G. Boots and Chris Boots; and by her sister: Orpha Middlemiss.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the funeral home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Cedarvale Cemetery, on Golden Avenue, with Rev. Lee Watson officiating.
