Lorene Mobley Dokes, 96, of Nixon, Texas passed away October 30, 2011. She was born November 13, 1914 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Wayne Dokes in 1993 and her son David Wayne Dokes in 2006. Survivors include daughter Barbara Fitzpatrick & husband Jack of Nixon; grandchildren Leanne Arnold, Susanne Umberger & husband Stan, & Michael Lee Dokes & wife Amanda, and great grandchildren Matthew Umberger, Megan Umberger, Kylie Dokes & Kassidy Dokes.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Chester Sassman officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.
