Linda Janssen Hudson, 72, of Bay City passed away July 19, 2025 after complications from a long battle with kidney disease.  She was born March 30, 1953 in Wharton, Texas to the late Adolph Janssen and Laura Harvey Janssen.

Linda made a career as well as life-long friends while working at First National Bank, Bay City Bank & Trust, and Wells Fargo.  She later became a tax associate and continued to assist others with their taxes even after she decided to retire from employment.

Linda will always be remembered for her generous nature and unwavering care for others.  She found true joy in helping those around her and had a warm and welcoming personality that made everyone feel like a friend.  Her family was always a top priority to her and she was always especially proud of the accomplishments of her grandsons.  She enjoyed cooking and baking and would often invite friends and family over to share a homecooked meal.  She enjoyed the simple things in life like relaxing in front of the tv to watch a Hallmark movie, cheering on the Houston Texans, or simply going on an afternoon drive.  Whether meeting an old friend for lunch or greeting a new face with a smile, Linda lived a life full of connection, kindness, and love.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Claudie Lee "Claude" Hudson and her daughter Laura "Christy" Hudson.

Survivors include daughters Shelly Hudson and Traci Myers; sisters Paula Hendrick, Sandra Zalman, Karen Talasek (Mike) and Gail Bass (Charles); brother David Janssen; grandsons Erik Myers and Wyatt Myers; 7 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and great nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Friday, July 25, 2025 at Abundant Life Fellowship Church with Rev. Greg McMullin officiating.  Pallbearers will be Charles Bass, Kaden Janssen, Brett Lawrence, Richard Sellers, Abiathar Simpson, and Zachariah Simpson.
