Ermelinda "Linda" Chavez Dyer, 66, of Bay City passed away February 1, 2022. She was born May 16, 1955 in Bellingham, Washington to Agapito Chavez, Sr. and Ramona Puentes Chavez.
Linda was strong in her faith. She was a 1973 graduate of Tidehaven High School and enjoyed spending time with family, taking road trips and exploring the countryside, always taking the road less traveled.
She was preceded in death by her father Agapito Chavez, Sr. and her brother Agapito Chavez, Jr.
Survivors include her mother Ramona Chavez; sisters Mary Chavez, Gloria Chavez (Rick), Maria Mallette (Richard), Rose Nies (Rob), Maggie Katzer (Troy) and Melissa Chavez; brothers Angel Chavez (Lidia), Raymond Chavez (B.J.), Richard Chavez (Jill), Tony Chavez, Henry Chavez (Regina) and Steven Chavez (Rita) along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM with Rev. Gabriel Espinosa officiating. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody Mallette, Robbie Nies, Troy Katzer, Dylan Mallette, Christopher Chavez, Vaughn Mata, Steven Chavez, Jr. and Nicholas Chavez.
