Lillie Mae Orr, 70, of Wadsworth, passed away Monday, November 7, 2005 at her residence. She was born August 10, 1935 in Bay City to Earl Ray Armstrong, Sr. and Lela Lecompte Armstrong. She was a lifelong resident of Matagorda and a member of the First Baptist Church of Matagorda.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Hubert Orr, Jr. of Wadsworth; by a daughter: Shirley Elaine Wiley & husband Ronnie of Richwood; by her sons: Hubert Earl Orr & wife Missie of Marysville, WA, Joseph Mark Orr & wife Vivian of Matagorda, and David Paul Orr of Selkirk; by her sister Patsy Cartwright of Elkhart; her brothers: George Patrick Armstrong and Earl Ray Armstrong, Jr. of Matagorda, and Jesse Lee Smith of Bay City; and by 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father: Earl R. Armstrong, Sr. and by her mother & step-father: Lela & Jesse Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, November 11, 2005 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Riley and Rev. Oliver Southall officiating. Interment will follow at the Matagorda Cemetery in Matagorda, TX. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Joseph, Brandon, Daniel, and Lucas Orr, Tye Wiley, and John Paul Landry. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters: Heather Thawsh, Kristin Byde, Candace Landry, Cassie Wiley, Krissy Wiley, and Christie Orr.
