Lillian Spalek, 88, of Bay City passed away June 19, 2014. She was born July 22, 1925 in Bay City to the late Tom Ready and Ella Hoffman Ready. She was a lifelong resident of Bay City and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank C. Spalek in 1992. Survivors include daughter Patty Spalek; son Larry Spalek & wife Marilyn; grandchildren Stacy Spalek, Cody Spalek, Tina Betcher, Lisa Earhart and Saybert Earhart; numerous great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
The family will receive visitors from 5PM until 7PM Sunday at the funeral home. A rosary will be recited at 1:30 PM Monday, June 23, 2014 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Chapel with funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM with Deacon Wally Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Cody Spalek, Saybert Earhart, James Byrd, John Ready, Donald Ready and Steven Spalek. Honorary pallbearers will be John Anthis, David Rosales, Collin Garcia and Abby Herreth. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Houston Hospice.
