Lillian Polensky, 84, formerly of Port Lavaca, passed away March 18, 2009 in Bay City. She was born May 30, 1924 in Leroy, TX to the late Frank & Bessie Tomasek Fojtik.

Her husband Edward Polensky preceded her in death in 1988. Survivors include daughter Nancy & Joe Novak of El Campo; sons Don & Linda Polensky of Alvin and Ray & Rita Polensky of Port Lavaca; sisters Mary Valka of Pt. Arthur, Agnes Fikes of Edna, Hattie Poole of San Antonio and Betsy Hutson of Sweeny; brothers Jimmy Fojtik of Bay City and Albert Fojtik of Edna; grandchildren Misty Rasmussen, Megan Novak, Christi Korenek, Ray Polensky, Jr., Shanda Polensky & Jarrod Polensky and great grandchildren Kyle & Julia Rasmussen, Jordane & Kaleigh Polensky.

A rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM Friday, March 20, 2009 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Mass will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jarrod Polensky, Ray Polensky, Jr., Ron Korenek, Mark Rasmussen, Joe Valka, Loddie Valka, Steve Valka & Louis John Fojtik. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Poole, Gary Poole, Jeff Poole, Robert Fojtik, Tommy Fikes, Auddie Hutson, Gordon Hutson & Michael Fojtik.
