Lillian Dry, 91, of Bay City passed away February 28, 2017. She was born April 27, 1925 in Fayetteville, Texas to the late Paul Venglar and Carrie Cervenka Venglar. She was an X-ray Technician at Matagorda General Hospital for many years. Lillian was a longtime resident of Bay City, and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She spent most of her time in the kitchen where she enjoyed cooking, reading the newspaper, and listening to Czech and polka music.

She was preceded in death by her husband William O. Dry. Survivors include son Jim Dry and his wife Dianne of Sweeny; sister Doris Strauss of Caldwell, Texas; grandchildren Shelley Miller and her husband Clark, Wendy Shipley and her husband Thomas, Troy Dry and Jacob Daniel and great grandchild Sheldon Engel.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5PM until 7PM Friday, March 3, 2017 at the funeral home. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM with Rev. Greg Korenek officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Gene Koudelka, Clark Miller, Troy Dry, Jacob Daniel, Bill Broaddus and David Strauss.
