Lewis "Leslie" Cadenhead, 75, passed away October 21, 2024.  He was born February 7, 1949 in Bay City to the late Dewey Cadenhead and Evelyn Owsley Cadenhead.

He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War earning a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 1960 Device and 2 Overseas Bars.  Leslie was a lifelong resident of Matagorda County.

Leslie enjoyed spending time outdoors, and he had many adventures with his long time friend Punky Green.

Leslie loved his two faithful companions and would often be seen with them riding thru town.

Leslie was an excellent cook and spent hours in the kitchen and at the grill, trying and improving his expansive recipe collection.

Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Robert "Gary" Cadenhead and James Dewey "Cricket" Cadenhead.

Survivors include his siblings Francis Eugene "Toadie" Cadenhead and Sally Kay Lyle, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A viewing and visitation will be held at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home on Monday, October 28, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.  Graveside services will be 11:30 AM Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at the Houston National Cemetery.
