Lew L. Wallace, Jr., 68, of Bay City passed away October 20, 2013 after a lengthy illness. He was born January 28, 1945 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Lew L. Wallace, Sr and Oradell Evangeline Klatt Wallace. He lived most of his life in Bishop, TX and spent the last 35 years in Bay City. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, member of Order of the Eastern Star 380, member of the Matagorda Masonic Lodge 7 AF & AM and Past Master of the Bay City Masonic Lodge 865 AF&AM.
Survivors include his wife Gloria Jean Wallace of Bay City; daughter Pamela Sue Janise & husband Nathan of Selkirk; son David Wayne Wallace & wife Shareth of Bay City; sisters Sandra Greene and Karan Odom both of Houston; brothers Patrick Wallace & wife Marie of Sweet Home, TX and Jerry Ray Wallace & wife Audrey of Uvalde, TX and grandchildren Taylor Michelle Janise, Peyton Danielle Janise and Baylee Laine Wallace.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm until 7pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Lane Pardue officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Memorials in his name may be made to American Diabetes Foundation, American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. Pallbearers will be Kelby Pennington, Robert Davis, Tom Black, Mike Black, Tommy Abendroth, Nathan Lubers, Ronnie Mc Elhennney, and George Deshotels.
