Leonides "Leon" Garza, 50, of Bay City passed away Monday, December 8, 2008. He was born February 4, 1958 in Bay City to the late Macaria Lopez Garza & Rudy Garza. Leon was a life long resident of Bay City, and a Member of the Rose of Sharon Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his wife: Virginia Zboral Garza of Bay City; 3 sons: David, Leon, and Rudy Garza all of Bay City; 4 sisters: Irma Garcia and Diana Gonzalez both of Markham, Jo Ann Perez of Bay City, and Corina Ruiz of Georgia; 2 brothers: Lionel and Steve Garza both of Markham; and 1 grandchild. Leon was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Jesse Lopez.

A Prayer Service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, December 12, 2008 at the Rose of Sharon Pentecostal Church with Sister Janie Robles officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nativadid Estrada, John Garcia, Leon Garza, Martin Huerta, Smiley Huerta, and Jesse Saldana.
