IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Leonel
Trevino
February 26, 1958 – August 30, 2025
Leonel Treviño, 67, Of Van Vleck passed away August 30th, 2025. He was born February 26, 1958 in Cameron County, Texas to the late Marcello G. Treviño and Maria Villarreal Treviño.
Leonel will be remembered as a man of intelligence, humor, and creativity, whose presence brought great joy to everyone around him. With a heart full of music and words, he found happiness in singing, writing poetry, and playing his guitar-gifts he shared generously with those he loved. His goofy spirit could brighten up every room, and his sharp mind inspired those fortunate enough to know him. He lived with passion, laughter, and kindness, leaving behind memories that will be cherished forever.
He was a hardworking man who took great pride in his work. Throughout his life, he built a career as both a skilled carpenter and garage door technician, using his hands and his talent to create, repair, and bring solutions to others. His dedication to his work was matched only by the care he put into every project, big or small. His career was passed down by his late father, also a reason why it meant the world to him.
Leonel is preceded in death by his parents; wife Laura Linda Treviño, and brother Rodolfo Treviño Sr. He is survived by daughters Senaida Rose Treviño, Isabel Maria Treviño, and step-daughter Aleta Grace Mireles; fiance Mary Huerta; sisters Maria Isabel Quesada (the late Antonio), Irene Treviño, Elisa Cisneros (Jesse) and Ester T. Hernandez (William Deskin); brother Marcello Treviño III (Rosalinda) and sister-in-law Pearl Treviño. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and his best friend Clint Harris.
